‘Shizaru’ Gallery Entrance Doors in London

Skydas Contribution – Entrance Doors

‘Baltijos skydas’ designed and manufactured bespoke entrance doors for the gallery, tailored to the historic character of the building’s façade. The doors feature a large glazed section, a warm reddish-brown wood finish, and a classical composition of three decorative panels.

The doors are equipped with a remotely controlled motorised opening system, while the reinforced construction and integrated hardware combine security with a representative entrance design.

Door Design and Details

The door leaf features a large glazed section in the upper part, maintaining a visual connection between the gallery interior and the street. The lower section consists of three classical decorative panels, while the warm reddish-brown finish complements the surrounding timber elements of the façade.

The composition is completed by gold-tone hardware, including a decorative handle, lock fittings, and a letterbox.

History of the Location

‘Shizaru’ Gallery was distinguished by its unconventional contemporary art programme and distinctive exhibition space, hosting solo and group exhibitions by a range of artists.

Since 2014, the premises have been home to ‘Moynat’ – the French luxury luggage and leather goods house’s London boutique, its first store outside Paris. The two-storey space combines Art Deco-inspired elements, arched forms, wood, leather, and metal. It also offers product personalisation and bespoke services.
