Skydas Contribution – Entrance Doors for the SAKAI Project

For the SAKAI project developed by Darnu Group in Lazdynai (Kazimiero Jelskio St.), the „Baltijos skydas“ team manufactured and installed interior entrance doors.

A total of the following were installed at the site: – 167 units of „Skydas Standart“ doors – 138 units of composite smoke-control „Skydas Standart“ C0S200 doors

The project features a seamless architectural solution where the doors are integrated into the wall planes, maintaining a uniform wood texture. The vertical grain direction and concealed seams allow the doors to blend with their surroundings, creating a calm and visually clean aesthetic for the stairwells.

Additional character is provided by contrasting black hardware and minimalist wall-mounted light fixtures, which emphasize the proportions of the doors and create a subtle interplay of light and shadow.

Transoms and the flush-mount solution optically elevate the space. The entire composition maintains a clear, modern architectural language—free of redundant details and focused on proportion and materiality.
